Gladys, a Nigerian trafficking victim turned refugee in Italy, escapes her trafficker and pursues her dream of becoming a professional soccer player by joining the Ancona Respect all-female soccer club, finding support and a new family.
Gladys, a young Nigerian woman, becomes a victim of human trafficking after she decides to flee her home country. She is smuggled into Italy, where she manages to escape the trafficker and starts a new life. Her life as a refugee is far from what she expected, but she is still keeping her dream alive of becoming a professional soccer player. She joins the Ancona Respect all-female soccer club, where she begins training and finds a new family.
